Bake Lending Gets a DeFi Upgrade: Risk-Managed Vaults Powered by NuWealth
Bake is partnering with NuWealth, an independent third-party risk manager, to take Bake Lending to the next level.
This upgrade brings risk-managed DeFi yield strategies and a modern onchain lending foundation into the familiar Bake experience. The goal is simple: make DeFi lending more robust, more transparent, and easier to use, without adding complexity.
What’s changing in Bake Lending
A new lending foundation: from Compound to Morpho
Bake Lending is transitioning from Compound to Morpho as the underlying lending stack. This move gives us a more modern foundation for building lending vaults that can adapt to changing market conditions.
Independent risk management from NuWealth
NuWealth acts as an independent risk curator. Their role is to help optimize vault allocations and monitor risk parameters, with a focus on conservative strategies and disciplined risk controls.
Same familiar Bake experience
You’ll access the upgraded lending vaults directly in the Bake app. You’ll see the current APY before you confirm, and you can start lending in just a few taps.
Introducing the NuWealth Anchor vaults
With this upgrade, Bake Lending now includes three risk-managed vault strategies focused on blue-chip stablecoins:
- NuWealth Anchor USDC
- NuWealth Anchor USDT
- NuWealth Anchor EURC
These vaults are designed to deliver variable onchain yield while keeping the experience simple and transparent.
EURC Lending is here, and it’s built for euro holders
For the first time, you can supply EURC directly in the Bake app and earn variable onchain yield.
At launch, EURC Lending is around 4% APY (APY is variable and can change).
To put that into context, the ECB deposit facility rate is 2.00% as of February 2026. EURC Lending offers euro holders a compelling onchain alternative, with rates displayed clearly in the Bake app before you confirm.
How to start Lending in minutes

Important note on risk
APYs are variable and not guaranteed. DeFi lending carries risk, including smart contract vulnerabilities, protocol risk, liquidity constraints, and the possibility of loss. Please review the product details and ensure the product is suitable for you before participating.
